Elana Herman Evans

Lawyer

Elana Evans is a corporate attorney with almost two decades of combined global law firm and in-house experience in both public and private organizations.

Elana began her career in the Global Transactions department of King & Spalding’s Houston office where her practice focused on domestic and cross-border complex mergers and acquisitions. She obtained further M&A and corporate structuring expertise while at a boutique transactional firm founded by former big law partners, and ultimately transitioned her practice in-house.

Elana spent several years in roles in increasing responsibility in the Energy Services division (“Nalco Champion”) of Ecolab, Inc., a Fortune 500 public company (NYSE: ECL) advising the drilling, upstream production and downstream businesses on all legal and compliance matters that touched business operations in every region of the world. In her various roles with Ecolab, including as Assistant General Counsel, Elana worked closely with business leadership teams and executives in each region. This experience affords Elana a unique perspective to navigate micro and macro decisions and factors affecting a growing and ever-evolving business and to soundly advise clients on balanced, realistic operating risks. Having worked with clients in-house across all global regions, Elana also understands the fundamental role local and corporate culture play in advising a business.

Following her tenure with Ecolab, Elana spent three years as General Counsel to Eventellect, LLC, a privately owned sports ticketing and technology business. Elana advised Eventellect through the Covid-19 pandemic event industry shutdowns as well as a subsequent period of dynamic corporate growth.

Elana is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (Bachelor of Science, cum laude) and The University of Texas School of Law (with honors) and a member of the State Bar of Texas.
